Summer School at Hanceville High School and West Point High School


Hanceville High School
Students attending Cullman County schools summer school 2019 are subject to the policies
of the Cullman County Board of Education and to the rules and regulations of the local
schools including the dress code. This authority applies to all school-sponsored activities and
areas covered by the school jurisdiction.

 Student tuition will be $150.00 per two week session/class
 Tuition must be paid by the first day of the session. No refunds will be given.
 Tuition for out-of-district students who attend another school system will be $200.00 per
two-week session/class.
 The four core subjects of English, Math, Science, and Social Studies will be offered.
 No enrichment credit will be offered or rewarded.
 No discipline issues will be tolerated.

Grading System
Grades earned during Summer School will determine final grade posted to transcript.

West Point High School

Students attending WPHS Summer School Credit Recovery sessions are subject to the policies of the Cullman County Board of Education and to the rules and regulations of the local school including the dress code. This authority applies to all school-sponsored activities and areas covered by the school jurisdiction. 
 
Student tuition - $150.00 per course. *Make checks payable to West Point High School  Out of district tuition - $200 (Students not enrolled in Cullman County School System)  Tuition must be paid by the first day of the session. No refunds will be given. 

Subjects offered - English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. (No advanced courses.)  No course may be taken for credit advancement. 

The hours of instruction will be 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM. 

The break stand will be open for students to purchase snacks. Students may bring their own lunch. Students will not be allowed to leave campus during sessions.

Grading System In accordance with Alabama State Department of Education and Cullman County Board policies, the maximum score for credit recovery courses is 70.

Schedule June 3 rd – June 14th 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Students should arrive and depart on time daily. Classes will be held in the West Point High computer labs. Students will sign in and out each session to be counted in attendance. -------------------
