Formal Dress Code

Girls

  • No openings in front or sides of dress (also meaning, no see through mesh)
  • Splits in skirts are to be at mid-thigh or below.
  • No two piece dresses.
  • Dress should not show an extreme amount of cleavage.
  • Back of dress should not be past mid-back.
  • Dress should be no shorter than the tips of fingers when standing.

Boys

  • Dress pants
  • Button down shirt
  • Tie (preferred)

How much are tickets?

•Tickets are $10 each.

 

Where can I buy tickets?

•Tickets may be purchased in the office.

 

When is the last day to buy tickets?

•September 30th is the last day to buy tickets.

 

Can my date be from another high school?

•Yes. Students may bring dates who are students at other schools.

 

Can I bring a date who has already finished high school?

•Yes. Students may bring dates who have finished high school as long as their date is no older than 20 years old.

 

Why do I have to arrive at the formal between 7:00 & 8:00?

•Since the formal is at a bank, it is the bank’s rules that the doors are not left unlocked for an extended period of time.

 

Can I come back to the formal if I leave?

•No. Students may not return to the formal if they leave the event.

Will food be served?

•Yes. Light refreshments and water are provided; however, it is not sufficient to serve as your dinner. Students should plan to eat dinner before they arrive.

What type of behavior are we allowed to engage in at the formal?

•Students are not allowed to engage in any behavior at the formal that you cannot engage in at school. This includes use of tobacco products, use of alcohol, use of vapor cigarettes, and inappropriate displays of affection.

What should I wear to the formal?

•Males should wear dress pants or khakis, a button down shirt, and preferably a tie.

•Females should wear formal or semi formal dresses. Refer to the dress code for more specific information.
